Howdy! My name is Malcolm, though my online pseudonym is Breel, typed fully as Breelmon both as a handle and to also make myself distinct from Rick's sweet angel marten character.

I stumbled across Housepets! around 2016 when I was thirteen years old, and read it all the way through on my iPad over a period of about a week. I would keep up with the comic as it updated every two to three days for about a year before getting distracted by my next of many hyperfixations in mid-2017.

I renamed myself Breel online in 2021 without recalling that it was the name of a character from Housepets! until much later, which I could only suppose to be subconscious recollection. I have since re-acquainted myself with Housepets! and re-read a majority of the stories and arcs therein, though I often find strips and one-offs from before 2016 I do not recall at all, which always brings me joy!

I owe it to Rick for introducing me to the greater online furry subculture, as well as my consumption of webcomics and fantasy storytelling in general. For this reason, I have been a member of his patreon since January of 2024, and try my best to be a warm addition to his community where I can be.

I knew before joining his patreon discord that he had told other stories and comics besides Housepets!, mainly by casually perusing his studio site and reading A&H Club. Learning that he was an accomplished author was very exciting, since I adore all forms of fictional storytelling and literary creation, and learning that Rick was contributing to this was very awesome for me to learn. I have since began reading his stories, starting with Pit Fighters, then next to Anidroids and Hayven Celestia.

Thank you so much for reading this here introduction! Now I've got some reading myself to do — see ya!
