==Appearance== |
The are bipedal mammals with a stout build—however, their body shapes can vary. The average height is 1.25 meters. Fur covers the whole body, save for the nose, paws and tail. The fur is typically blue or grey, but can range from black and white. They have short rounded ears, square shaped noses, large enamel coated incisors—typically bright orange, flat scaly tails—ranges from red, brown and pink colored, and webbed feet. |
Their incisors continue to grow throughout their life. They constantly gnaw on hard objects to maintain their length. Their physiology also makes them natural swimmers. |

==Writing for Vrinx== |
When writing for vrinx, please keep the following facts in mind. |
===Endangered=== |
* Their population has never been known by any race or empire to exceed over million. The entire species was discovered contained exclusively within a single generation ship. It is speculated that the vessel had traveled through space for centuries before it was spotted near a system occupied by the Krakun Empire. |
** This ship broke down shortly after this encounter, due to societal collapse within it. The [[krakun]] used this event as an opportunity to enslave any refugees. |
* The krakun were unable to unable to obtain the location of their planet of origin. It is suspected that it has been erased from their historic records. This information is considered "lost." |
* They have been recalled by the Slave Licensing Authority, preventing them from traversing through space any further. See [[#Culture & Religion|Culture & Religion]] below. |
* Current population estimate is near 400. All exclusively within the Krakun Empire as house slaves. |
===Culture & Religion=== |
* To a considerable extent, they are natural structural engineers. However, being contained in a space vessel for centuries not only made it difficult to modification, but they become attached to their own innovations, to the point where are hesitant to adopt new and better technological innovations provided by other species. |
** Enslaving the vrinx proved to be difficult for the krakun, as they kept attempting to reverse engineer gateships to their own preferences. Due to numerous safeguards implemented by the krakun, these attempts ended in disaster. |
* The political climate was at a turmoil by of their first contact with the krakun. Many working class vrinx were frustrated with the high secrecy upheld by the "elected" officials, which included keeping historical records only for the eyes of the wealthy—if not erased entirely. This led to a large chunk of their own history to be lost. A mutiny broke out shorty after encountering the krakun. This lead to the destruction of the ship. |
* Although the original generation ship was salvaged by the krakun, some vrinx believe it spiritually exists in the afterlife. This ghost ship is referred to as ''the Drifting Ark''. |
